De fleste bonsai er mellem 25 og 90 cm h\u00f8je, og er en h\u00f8jt for\u00e6dlet kunstform i Japan. Her er det et kunstudtryk p\u00e5 linie med teater og musik.\n<\/p><p class=\"bde-f-text-2949-106 bde-f-text bbh-body\">\nTr\u00e6erne er almindelige tr\u00e6er som bl.a. eg, b\u00f8g og fyr, der kan anvendes til bonsai, og tr\u00e6erne st\u00e5r ude hele \u00e5ret. Beskyttelse i de v\u00e5deste og koldeste vinterm\u00e5neder er dog n\u00f8dvendig. I sommer-varmen kr\u00e6ver tr\u00e6erne daglig vanding for ikke at t\u00f8rre ud og d\u00f8. Desuden skal de passes med besk\u00e6ring, knibning og sn\u00f8ring for at kunne holdes i billedet af det store tr\u00e6 i naturen.\n<\/p><p class=\"bde-f-text-2949-107 bde-f-text bbh-body\">\nDet tager lang tid at skabe en bonsai helt fra starten, men det er heller ikke vigtigt, om tr\u00e6et bliver f\u00e6rdigt i dette liv. Perspektivet er, at en bonsai f\u00f8rst er f\u00e6rdig til n\u00e6ste generation. Imidlertid kan man skabe gode bonsai p\u00e5 mellem 5 \u2013 20 \u00e5r af indsamlet materiale fra naturen. P\u00e5 japansk hedder det Yamadori.\n<\/p><p class=\"bde-f-text-2949-108 bde-f-text bbh-body\">\n<strong>Er det sv\u00e6rt?<\/strong><br>Det vil v\u00e6re en fejltagelse, at sige det er let. Dyrkningen af en bonsai kr\u00e6ver god indsigt i tr\u00e6ets livsvilk\u00e5r, og en del kunstnerisk sans og t\u00e5lmodighed. Her er det n\u00e6sten en s\u00e6rlig foruds\u00e6tning for at lykkes med at dyrke bonsai, at man mere er interesseret i processen end i det endelige resultat.\n<\/p><p class=\"bde-f-text-2949-109 bde-f-text bbh-body\">\n<strong>Teknikker<\/strong><br>Tr\u00e6erne besk\u00e6res med s\u00e6rlige v\u00e6rkt\u00f8jer og sn\u00f8res for at forme dem i billedet af et tr\u00e6 i naturen. Der anvendes forskellige teknikker alt efter tr\u00e6ets art, og hvordan det fors\u00f8ges udviklet.\n<\/p><p class=\"bde-f-text-2949-110 bde-f-text bbh-body\">\n<strong>Sk\u00e5len<\/strong><br>En lige s\u00e5 vigtig del af helheden i en bonsai er anvendelsen af sk\u00e5len. Denne er en vigtig del af det billede, man \u00f8nsker at skabe med tr\u00e6et, ligesom rammen er det p\u00e5 et maleri.
